# Working with Edward: availability, contracting, and engagement logistics

Answers to the questions recruiters and procurement teams ask first, in Edward's own terms. Engagements run through Proticom, the consultancy he founded in 2000.

## Start date and availability

Availability changes week to week, so it is deliberately not published here. The right answer is to reach Edward through the contact form at edwardtadros.com/contact (a work email address is required) and ask; he will give a straight answer about when he can start and what notice, if any, current work requires.

## Hours per week

How many hours a new client can get depends on current workload at the time. Proticom works with each client to find the arrangement that fits, rather than quoting a fixed number that may not hold.

## Travel

Edward will travel when the work needs it and does not put a cap on how often.

## Time zones

Yes. Edward is based in Southern California and covers Eastern and Central hours from Pacific time when a client needs it.

## Solo or team

Both. Edward does the hands-on work himself, and Proticom has a network of experienced consultants, so additional experts can be brought on as an engagement needs them.

## What happens before work starts

1. A conversation to determine fit and the work that actually needs doing.
2. Often a proof of concept, so nothing is promised that cannot be delivered.
3. Once the work is scoped, an MSA and SOW are worked in parallel.
4. Background checks are available for Edward or any Proticom consultant.
5. Proticom follows the client's own established vendor-onboarding process.

## Two clients in the same week

Handled case by case. Edward is upfront with clients when he is committed elsewhere, Proticom can add consultants to cover, and long hours are not new to him.

## W-2 conversion

Edward cannot take W-2 employment personally: he has obligations to his company and its employees. When a client cannot contract with a firm and needs someone on their own payroll, Proticom is happy to recruit a candidate for the client to hire directly.

## Engagement length

There is no minimum. Helping a client with a small job builds the relationship, and Edward is always willing to help. After a scoped delivery, he stays available to that client; long-running relationships are the norm.
